Pronto Networks' Aprisa is the industry's most comprehensive solution for deploying public Wi-Fi networks. Aprisa is a complete, low-cost, easy-to-install back office appliance that enables a cost-effective build out of public hotspots. Using a web-based administration utility, Aprisa can be quickly installed at an operator's Network Operations Center (NOC). Once installed, Aprisa is ready to unleash the full capabilities of the pre-loaded Wi-Fi service delivery application.

Aprisa is licensed to work with 25, 50 or 100 hotspot controllers. Each hotspot controller is designed to download initial configuration and image files from the NOC once plugged in. Absolutely no on-site configuration of the controllers are required, thus saving significant deployment time and costs.

In addition to enabling cost-effective rollout of hotspots, Aprisa allows operators to maximize revenue by customizing and differentiating the service down to the location level. Aprisa offers significant flexibility in creating price plans and customizing the captive portal at each location.

• Back-office Functionality Based on Pronto's Carrier-Grade OSS : Aprisa is based on Pronto's carrier-grade OSS platform for large scale, public WLAN networks and thus offers many of the same robust features. These capabilities include remote provisioning of hotspot controllers, authentication, access control, splash page customization, walled garden support, pre-paid and post-paid billing, QoS controls, remote network management, trouble ticketing and customer care, and roaming settlement with major aggregators.
  
  
• Remote Auto-Configuration and Management of Hotspot Controllers : Aprisa enables operators to remotely configure hotspot controllers before they are shipped to the location to enable true plug-n-play deployment. Once connected, hotspot controllers know to contact the operator's NOC to download configuration files meant for that location. Aprisa also provides the capability of remotely updating the hotspot controllers' firmware on a periodic basis.
